What is this?
Great question. It's a lot of things. I am dealing with my own gross feelings about internalized capitalism, about how we seem to always be monetizing our hobbies, about how any mid creative in any city will take one wheel-throwing class and decide they should sell their work online, about the commodification of craft... you know what I mean?

I want to make my pots because it makes me happy to make them. I don't want to sell my pots. But I also don't want to just give them away. So I am trying to enter into a more circular and trade-based economy that feels more like giving gifts to friends than selling work to customers.

KEATS FOR TRADE ONLY is a side project that is usually on hiatus but will never actually die. I make one of a kind, hand-build ceramics and post them on instagram for trade.
